One night's accommodation · Checked in Oct 2026I booked this guesthouse for my National Day holiday trip, where I could experience staying in an old alleyway. It's about a 10-minute walk to the nearest subway station, Jiashan Road (Line 9), and just over a kilometer from Shaanxi South Road station, making it very convenient to visit places like Sinan Mansions, Fuxing Park, and Dapuqiao Tianzifang. The room was quite clean, and although it's an old building, the humidity was much lower than I expected. A refrigerator, induction cooker, and washing machine were available.

Our guesthouse is located on Taiyuan Road in Xujiahui, a prime location in Shanghai, near Jianguo West Road and Fenyang Road. This area is home to a concentration of century-old villas, and our guesthouse is situated in a corner of it. These are traditional tenement buildings (commonly known as old-style apartments) built after the founding of the People's Republic of China, a unique type of housing characteristic of China. It's just a few hundred meters from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, Hengshan Road, Zhongshan Hospital, and the Fenyang Hospital affiliated with the Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat Hospital of Fudan University. Xujiahui Metro City and numerous supermarkets and restaurants are also nearby. The location is superb, offering charming Shanghai-style accommodations. It's a 5-8 minute walk to the subway, making it convenient to visit the Oriental Pearl Tower, the Bund, and Disneyland!
