Encountering a landlord like this is scarier than a ghost! Please, please don't stay here! It's disgusting. If you want to experience a life-threatening situation and being subjected to exorbitant rent, come and experience this. 1. Privacy and safety issues: At night, the living room door is completely blocked; you can't see out from inside, and you can see clearly into the rooms from the outside, with no obstruction. When we asked the landlord, he said there was no solution. His attitude was incredibly bad!!! He told us to go to a convenience store to buy something to cover the problem ourselves. 2. Attitude issues: The landlord's attitude was incredibly bad!!! Absolutely unbelievable. We arrived at the guesthouse very late, and due to concerns about the surrounding environment and privacy, we wanted to cancel the remaining two days. The landlord, citing "platform requirements," refused to change rooms and claimed we were arguing because he wouldn't give us a larger room (the small room is next to the corridor, very poor, and has bad soundproofing). He was completely turning the tables on us. We demand a positive review and free accommodation. 3. Personal safety issues: This completely overturned my understanding of homestays. The landlord even threatened us, calling and saying, "You're from xx place, right?" It scared the two of us young girls so much that we couldn't sleep at night. We really love Guangzhou, but we didn't expect to encounter this on our first visit. We were so disappointed. 4. Landlord's refusal to return deposit and price gouging: After checking out, we asked for the deposit to be returned first. The landlord refused and demanded that we write a good review first. (We were afraid that if we wrote a good review, the landlord wouldn't return the deposit.) The landlord called and the first thing he said was, "What do you want to do!" He demanded that we pay an extra 80*3 yuan, and his attitude was extremely bad. We appealed to the platform, and the landlord asked the platform to tell us that the extra 80*3 yuan was required! This price gouging made me laugh out loud. 5. Hygiene issues: (1) The community is unsafe, very old, and gloomy. (2) The carpet in the room smelled of feet. When I squatted down to pack my luggage, the smell made my nose go numb. (3) The air conditioner in the living room smelled terrible and musty. It almost made the local specialties we bought smell bad. The platform has already processed the case, refunding the deposit and taking action against the landlord. Please consider this carefully.

The room was very clean. The landlord was very nice. It was also convenient for getting around; I'd definitely stay here again next time I'm in Guangzhou.
