What makes this stay special
Why we recommend it: Hotel-style apartments near Beijing Road
It's a 5-minute walk to Beijing Road Pedestrian Street.
The guesthouse is located on the bustling Beijing Road Pedestrian Street in Guangzhou, at the intersection of three subway lines. This area is a one-stop hub for dining, entertainment, gatherings, and photo opportunities, with nearby attractions including the Nanyue King's Palace Museum and the Guangzhou Giant Buddha Temple. The Giant Buddha Temple on Beijing Road is beautifully illuminated at night. Founded in the Song Dynasty, it boasts over 1000 years of history. The main buildings include the mountain gate, bell tower, drum tower, main hall, Maitreya Hall, and monastic hall. The most famous is the main hall, which houses a 15-meter-tall Buddha statue and is the temple's central structure. In addition, the Giant Buddha Temple features many exquisite Buddhist sculptures and paintings, well worth seeing! Nearby restaurants include: Fu Lin Restaurant, Chao Ji Claypot Rice, Da Yang Stew, Bai Hua Dessert, Big Head Shrimp Vietnamese Restaurant, Auntie's Beef Offal, and Ren Xin Old Shop Sweet Potatoes.
The famous Tianzi Wharf is right downstairs.
Tianzi Wharf, located in Renmin Street, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou, on the southern end of Beijing Road near the intersection of Yanjiang Middle Road and Beijing Road, is commonly known as "Guangzhou's First Wharf." It is the longest-operating ferry wharf on the Pearl River in Guangzhou, with a history of over 270 years. According to the "Draft of Guangdong Gazetteer, Volume 38, Bridges," dated 1535 (the 14th year of the Jiajing reign of the Ming Dynasty), "Tianzi Wharf is located outside the south gate." This indicates its original location was south of the current Jieguan Pavilion on Beijing Road. In the seventh year of the Yongzheng reign of the Qing Dynasty, Tianzi Wharf was designated as the official wharf, where officials arriving in or leaving Guangzhou by water would board and disembark. Today, Tianzi Wharf serves as the starting point for Pearl River night cruises, allowing tourists to board boats for their journeys. Furthermore, Haizhu Square is a 3-minute walk away. Located in the heart of Guangzhou, Haizhu Square is one of the city's largest public squares. Built in 1953, it sits at the intersection of the central axis of Guangzhou's old city and the riverside scenic belt, making it an important riverside square in Guangzhou.
