Entire duplex apartment for rent on the Bund | Bund Landlady

When traveling, an uncomfortable stay greatly diminishes the experience. Because I didn't know the exact location of hotels near Nanjing Pedestrian Street, I booked this guesthouse very close by. I arrived in Shanghai yesterday, and it rained the whole time. The guesthouse was in an old residential building, very damp, and the hallways were dark and dirty at night. The outside environment was really terrible, and I found it very uncomfortable. Even with the air conditioning on, the room was still damp and swarming with flying termites—a huge number! I almost wanted to go home that night. However, I must say the location was excellent, near the Bund, with a view of the Oriental Pearl Tower. The guesthouse's interior was almost exactly as pictured, very cozy. I didn't hear much noise while I stayed, although some online reviews mentioned the soundproofing wasn't great. The landlady also mentioned that Shanghai has termites during the rainy season, but I didn't see any at the Disney hotel. There are actually many hotels near Nanjing Pedestrian Street; now I know that, and next time I'll book a hotel there. So, when traveling, comfortable accommodations are essential for a happy trip; otherwise, I don't think I'll ever want to come to Shanghai again. This is my personal experience and honest feeling, unrelated to anything else.

The room has a great location; turning left leads to the Bund with a view of the Oriental Pearl Tower, and turning right leads to Nanjing Road. Though small, it's fully equipped with all the necessary amenities. The owner was very welcoming and attentive, and my family had a wonderful stay. We'll definitely stay here again next time we're in Shanghai.
