2-Bedroom Duplex Apartment for Rent on the Bund | Dazai Homestay

This is the only time I've ever been scammed when booking a room. I wanted to see the room, but the landlord lured me into checking in. I placed the order at 3:50 PM, and there was a free refund option before 4:17 PM. However, after seeing the room, I immediately felt cheated. I contacted the landlord, but he refused to give me a refund, saying that since I had already checked in, how could I know the room was different from the photos? He was adamant about not giving a refund and told me to file a complaint if I wanted, he didn't care. Not only was the hygiene poor, but it was also moldy everywhere in the old neighborhood! The stairs in the room were steep and vertical, making it difficult even for adults to climb, let alone children—very dangerous. It was advertised as a two-bedroom apartment, but it was just a mezzanine. Having experienced this firsthand, I advise everyone to think carefully before booking to avoid being scammed. This landlord is extremely unreliable, using all sorts of excuses and delaying tactics!

The guesthouse rooms were quite nice and the overall stay experience was great.
