The newly opened Ma Wan holiday home this year gave us a wonderful National Day holiday experience! Previously, our trips to Ma Wan were usually half-day or full-day visits, but this time we took advantage of the long National Day holiday for a three-day, two-night stay! Although Ma Wan isn't accessible by car, it's conveniently located from the city center by bus or ferry. Buses to Tsuen Wan run until the early hours of the morning. There are many restaurants, cafes, and supermarkets on the island, so there's no need to worry about food. The room was equipped with a stove and pot, and they even thoughtfully provided tableware, so we could cook our own meals. The location of the property is excellent, right at the entrance of the 1868 Art Village. The balcony offers sea views, and it's not far from the bus station and beach. It's suitable for guests vacationing in Ma Wan (but not for those who need to travel to and from the city). We enjoyed a peaceful and relaxing three days and two nights – highly recommended!

Overall, the guesthouse was nice, clean, and the air conditioning was powerful! Located in Ma Wan, it's not recommended for those not on a relaxing vacation as it's quite remote. However, if you enjoy a quiet few days, it's a good choice. There are a few unique restaurants downstairs, but they're expensive, and once they close late, there's not much to eat. Therefore, it's best to buy groceries beforehand at a supermarket in Tsing Yi City (the guesthouse has a refrigerator, microwave, and induction cooker available), or go to the ParknShop supermarket at Park Lane Bus Terminal (about a 30-minute walk or more). Noah's Ark is about a 15-20 minute walk away, where there's Ma Wan Beach with public showers where you can spend an afternoon. There's also a sun park nearby, suitable for younger children. Overall, the guesthouse was very nice, and both adults and children had a very enjoyable weekend. The only drawback was that it rained during our stay, and the raindrops on the air conditioner made a rattling noise at night. I suggest adding artificial turf to the outdoor unit to reduce the dripping noise.

The interior decoration design is beautiful. There are many cultural and creative shops nearby. It is very convenient to take photos and stroll around. There are also a few cafes where you can spend a relaxing and happy weekend in Ma Wan. This holiday home has three rooms, three couples to just right. The only little drawback was the pillow and high we all slept to our necks uncomfortable 😂😂 If the kitchen area added a trash can would be better. Looking forward to going again next time.
